Moving is a Pain in the Ass

Y'know, I've been trying really hard to clean up my language lately, but moving ruined it all because it is a PAIN IN THE ASS.

Yes, I've moved before and yes, I know it's not exactly sunshine and daisies, but I've forgotten what an utter chore it is. And I've never done it with three kids. Shoot, the last time we moved, I was pregnant and couldn't lift stuff anyway, so we asked a bunch of people to help us out. This time, nuh uh, it's all on us. And more accurately, it all on ME because I'm home during the day and Matt's still working full-time.

To be fair, my aunt is giving us a hand by watching the little ones in the mornings, but you know what? Three hours is a WHOLE lot shorter when you have the time to yourself. Just this morning, I dropped the kids off, took Ana to school, and said to myself, "Huh, I have time for the library and a leisurely breakfast." Next thing I knew, it was 10:00am and I still hadn't done a lick of work. The only thing I managed to do before I had to get the kids was run to Target to pick up some posterboard, markers, and price stickers. Oh, yes, because we've decided to have a moving sale on top of actually moving.

The initial plan was to wait until we cleared everything out, move it over to my aunt and uncle's house, throw it under a tarp, and have a sale in November after everything was said and done. Unfortunately, the room that we've been using as a staging area for things to sell is almost full (!) and we need to make some space. So Matt valiantly agreed to run the sale by himself, just as long as I can help him get ready for it by making and putting up signs, pricing some of the items, and getting small bills for the big day. You know, in the oodles of time I have between sorting through our crap, loading and unloading the car, and making a 60-mile round-trip every day.

Did I mention that we also have house guests this week?
